I am passionate about biodiversity and its conservation, particularly in agricultural landscapes. As part of the larger “Small Structure” project, my research focuses on how small structures, such as branch and stone piles, affect ground beetles (Carabidae). These insects play a crucial role in pest control and soil functioning. For my Master's thesis, I am using pitfall traps to investigate how these structures influence ground beetle diversity, abundance, and community composition, and contribute to species persistence in agricultural landscapes.
